The Pontevedra Prosecutor’s Office requests twelve years in prison for a man who is accused of having sexually abused a minor with whom he had a family relationship.
The events, as reflected in the indictment, took place at the home where both lived between 2018 and 2019.
It was the victim’s mother who, in 2020, filed the complaint on behalf of the minor.
The prosecutor considers him the author of a continuous crime of sexual abuse with the introduction of bodily members, for which, in addition to the prison sentence, he demands eight years in prison.
In the trial, which will be held on Tuesday, he will also ask that he be prohibited from approaching or communicating with the victim for thirteen years and that he be disqualified from working with minors for 17 years.
The oral hearing will be held behind closed doors, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, “to safeguard the rights of the victim.”
