Over 50% increase in irregular migrant arrivals

From the beginning of the year until October 15, 35,812 migrants have entered Spain irregularly by sea, 54.7% more than in the same period of 2022 (23,154).

The Canary Islands concentrate 23,537 entries, 79.4% more than the previous year (13,122).

Arrivals by sea to the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands reach 12,098, 23.4% more than in 2022 (9,803).
