Man on trial for relationship with minor

The Second Section of the Provincial Court in Palma de Mallorca will begin to hear evidence from today, Thursday, against a man accused of continuous sexual assault of a minor under 16 years of age, with whom he had a romantic relationship.

The Prosecutor asks for a six-year prison sentence for the man and a ban on approaching the victim within 100 metres and communicating with her by any means for 15 years.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office brief, the accused had a romantic relationship with the minor, from August 2018 until October of the same year, when he was 30 years old and the minor was 14 and 15 years old during said period.

The Prosecutor’s Office adds that the accused, aware of the age of the minor and with the aim of satisfying sexual desire, in the course of said romantic relationship had complete sexual relations with her on more than 10 occasions, such encounters taking place most of the time at his parents’ house and in a place set up by him in the field where he had placed a plastic sheet and a mattress.
