Social Security contributors reach all time high

Social Security affiliation has grown by 474,430 people in seasonally adjusted terms so far this year.

This data is the highest for this period in the historical series, discounting the two years conditioned by the pandemic, 2020 and 2021.

For its part, the increase recorded by the original series, 368,282 people, is above the average of the last decade.

The average affiliation observed, in seasonally adjusted terms, in the period from mid-August to mid-September has registered a result of 10,084 people compared to the average of the two previous fortnights.

With the latest data available, corresponding to September 15, the total number of affiliates has grown by 1.36 million people since the start of the pandemic.
