The First Section of the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands will begin to hear evidence from today, Wednesday, in the trial against a man who, allegedly, pretended that he was going to be transferred to another city for work, and demoted from his professional category, and a subsequently lower salary, in order to justify paying less to his ex-wife, with whom he had two children in common.
According to the prosecutor, the defendant, knowing that he was involved in a contentious measure modification procedure, prepared, imitating the authentic ones, a certificate from the company in which he worked indicating that his transfer to the Alicante base had been decided and in a lower category.
In view of the document, the Prosecutor’s Office continues in its letter, his ex-wife signed a regulatory agreement with him in which his contribution was maintained regarding the expenses of common children.
The facts are, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, constituting a crime of forgery in a private document, for which reason the accused is sentenced to three and a half years in prison and a fine of 3,600 euro, as well as compensation in the amount of 2,500 euro to the injured party.
