The Primavera Sound music festival will take place in Arganda del Rey (Madrid) between Thursday June 8 and Sunday June 11, featuring top groups like the Pet Shop Boys, Blur, New Order, and may more, and whereas a ticket will cost you well over 100 euro to get in, there is a way you can attend for free!
Okay, we admit, there is a catch. You will have to work instead, as the organisers have now listed some 900 vacancies, mostly for servers, to work in the food and drink concessions in the venue.
You should ideally have experience in a similar position, according to the recruitment agent ‘Adecco’, and the jobs will be in shifts of 8 hours per day.
Not only can you be in the venue without paying, you will also be paid for being there, at a rate of 10 euro per hour, and they will even provide a shuttle service from the centre of Madrid to get you to work. Plus, you get a 50 cents bonus, per hour, if you work all three days.
If the offer sounds tempting but Madrid is a bit far, the agents are also looking for workers to be waiters in hotels and events in the Alicante-Benidorm-Altea-Jávea-Elche area. A part-time position is offered with a discontinuous permanent contract and a salary according to the hospitality agreement. Experience is also required in such a position, and a good level of customer service.
