Chicken shop rapist in court

The Provincial Court of Alicante will begin to hear evidence from today, Thursday, against a man accused of raping his ex-partner.

The Prosecutor’s Office requests a sentence of 33 years in prison for the man whom he accuses of raping his ex-partner, and mother of his four-year-old son, three times.

The defendant and the victim had a ten-year sentimental relationship that ended in June 2016, when they continued to have a working relationship, since they worked together in a chicken rotisserie in Elche.

The prosecutor maintains that, throughout 2017, on at least three occasions, once at the victim’s home and twice at the workplace, the man immobilised the victim and sexually forced her, despite the woman’s refusal, as she did not want to maintain intimate relations with the defendant.
