Defendants in court in Valencia from Wednesday

The criminal sections of the Provincial Court of Valencia will begin to hear evidence from today, Wednesday, against a man who the Prosecutor’s Office accuses of a crime of sexual abuse.

The events occurred on October 27, 2021 when the defendant and the victim had sexual relations and the defendant subjected the woman to a sexual practice to which she had initially opposed.

Meanwhile, tomorrow, Thursday, the case of a man accused of kissing and groping his daughter, a minor, will be heard. The defendant faces 5 years in prison.

In addition to these cases of sexual abuse, on Wednesday in the Third Section a man will be prosecuted who, for an alleged hate crime, faces a possible sentence of 8 months in prison.

The Prosecutor’s Office accuses him of kicking the victim’s backpack, which was leaning against a wall, and letting his dog urinate on it, while telling the ten-year-old girl that she was ‘bad’ and ‘stupid’.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the accused habitually rebuked the family of the minor for racist reasons with expressions of the type ‘go back to your country’.

Finally, on Thursday in the Fourth Section, two men accused of bringing into the port of Valencia a shipment of 297 kilos of cocaine from Rio de Janeiro will be tried. The defendants could be sentenced to 8 years in prison.
