The criminal sections of the Provincial Court of Valencia will judge several cases of sexual abuse from today, the majority of them committed on minors and half of those by the parents of the victims.
Of the total of six cases of abuse or rape of minors, in three of them the defendant is the father, in two the uncles and in another the stepfather of the victim.
On Tuesday in the First Section a man accused of sexually abusing the daughter, a minor, of his sentimental partner is tried; for which he faces 5 and a half years in prison.
That same day, in the Second Section, another man accused of masturbating in front of his daughter when she was between 4 or 5 years old, showing her pornographic films when she was 6 years old, and sexually abusing her when she turned 13, is facing a sentence of 7 years and 9 months in prison.
Following this trial, the same Section plans to hold a trial against a man accused of sexually abusing his daughter, a minor, during the winter of 2013 in the family home. The defendant faces a possible sentence of 4 years and 9 months in prison.
Also on Tuesday, March 28, a man accused of a continued crime of sexual abuse of his sentimental partner’s niece, for which a 6-year sentence is requested, will be tried.
Likewise, that same day in the Fourth Section, a man accused of raping a young woman, 16 years old at the time of the events, whom he had met through a mutual friend, will be tried. The Prosecutor’s Office requests a 9-year prison sentence.
