Sánchez announces Government reshuffle

The President of the Spanish Governmenr, Pedro Sánchez, has announced a number of changes in the administration, in key roles in Government.

In a live broadcast on Monday, Sánchez announced that two ministers who are leaving the Government because they are candidates in the municipal elections: that of Industry, Reyes Maroto, who will be the head of the PSOE list in Madrid, and Health, Caroline Darias, who is standing in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The president has announced that the new Minister of Industry will be Héctor Gómez, former parliamentary spokesperson for the PSOE, and the new head of Health, José Manuel Miñones Conde, the Government delegate in Galicia.

Other than that, the government is practically intact until the end of the legislature, although that could always change depending on the results of the municipal and regional elections on May 28.
