Health Minister received COPD award recognition

The Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, received the distinction ‘Ambassador of COPD’ from the Association of Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (APEPOC), in recognition of her support people with COPD and their families.

The meeting was also attended by the general director of the Common Portfolio of Health Services and Pharmacy of the Ministry of Health, César Hernández; APEPOC spokeswoman Nicole Hass; and the coordinator of the association, María Martín.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is a common, preventable and treatable chronic lung disease caused by prolonged exposure to noxious gases and particles and by personal factors.
