Spain’s Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of health between the Spanish Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Romanian Health Department, with her Romanian counterpart, Alexandru Rafila,
The signing took place at the I Spanish-Romanian Summit that took place in Castellón de la Plana, chaired by the highest representation of both countries: the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the Prime Minister of Romania, Nicolae Ciuc¿ who has assured that Romania “has a lot to learn from the Spanish health model”.
The Memorandum of Understanding represents a great advance in this matter of cooperation to achieve the highest standards of health care, through the exchange of information and good practices on the management of public health services; the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases or cancer, and the reduction of risk factors; also in the prevention and prophylaxis of communicable diseases.
In addition, this agreement represents a step forward in terms of cooperation in research, through the Carlos III Health Institute and in pharmaceutical policy and training of specialists.
