Petrol station robbers arrested

The Guardia Civil has arrested two people in Seville for seven robberies with violence and intimidation at petrol stations in the municipalities of Huevar del Aljarafe, Manzanilla, Aznalcázar and Olivares.

The Regionis operation, carried out by agents of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of Seville, began at the beginning of August, when the agents learned of the commission of several robberies in very close towns and very similar time slots.

The investigation made it possible to verify that there was a relationship between the assaults that occurred. The detainees exerted extreme violence on the employees, stole the proceeds obtained and used a cross motorcycle to escape.

The seven robberies were committed in just two months, in broad daylight and generated significant social alarm among the population and employees of petrol stations in the area.

The detainees entered brandishing weapons, shouting “this is a robbery”, managing to corner and even lock up the employees. One of the two thieves kept an eye on the employee, while the other quickly searched, gathering as much cash within his reach and as he could, in record time, they managed to flee along the paths of the Green Corridor of the Guadiamar River, using a dirt bike.

The various operations and the compilation and analysis of information obtained from the victims finally made it possible to find sufficient evidence to identify, locate and arrest the alleged perpetrators, both residents of the town of Aznalcóllar (Seville).

The detainees have gone to judicial disposition of the Court of Instruction No. 5 of Sanlúcar La Mayor (Seville), ruling their entry into prison.
