A 32-year-old man was killed, and six others injured, when a car crashed into the terraces of two bars where they were drinking.
The incident occurred in the town of Gibraleón, located in the province of Huelva, Spain.
At the wheel of the car involved in the incident was Miguel Ángel, alias “El Bolsa”, a well-known local criminal. “This is a man with multiple antecedents and who had just been released from prison,” says Pedro Fernández, the Government delegate in Andalusia.
The driver crashed into one terrace, killing his victim who was having a drink with a friend, before attempting to flee the scene and crashing into a second terrace a few metres away, injuring six other people.
The Guardia Civil were able to stop the vehicle and arrest the driver.
Gibraleon was about to celebrate their local fiesta which has been postponed by decreeing two days of official mourning.
