The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism has published the provisional resolution of the line of aid for innovation and sustainability plans in the field of the manufacturing industry in 2022, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, of which 71 projects have benefited, mobilising a public investment of 103.9 million euro between loan and grant. Of the total amount approved, 24.6 million euro correspond to a direct grant and 79.3 million euro to a zero-rate loan.
Catalonia and the Valencian Community have been the autonomous communities with the highest number of provisional concessions, a total of 29 and 12, respectively.
Of the total provisional concessions, 30% (52 projects) correspond to the Research, Development and Innovation line and 70% (119 projects) to the line of innovation in sustainability and energy efficiency.
This line supports R+D+i projects as well as actions focused on sustainability through the improvement of energy efficiency and the circular economy in line with the Green Deal of the European Union.
All these actions are applied in the value chain of the manufacturing industry and are framed in one of the following thematic priorities: circular economy and eco-innovation, decarbonisation, energy efficiency, new sources of renewable energy and reduction of polluting emissions, advanced materials and products, innovation in quality and safety processes, innovations in the production process derived from the priority of advanced materials and products.
This call is framed and co-financed within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and, taking into account this framework and the context of exit from the crisis derived from COVID-19, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism has considered it necessary to adapt the conditions of this line of aid and from the year 2021 the aid can take the form of a repayable loan or be a combination of a loan and a grant.
