The National Police is investigating the death of a blind man, whose body has been found in the shaft of a damaged elevator.
The body was discovered when workers attended the lift and illuminated the lift shaft in order to carry out their maintenance work.
So far, all indications are that the man accidentally fell into the lift shaft, although the investigation will also focus on how this was able to happen, if it is deemed the cause of the fatal incident.
