The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, received his third dose of the Covid vaccine at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital in Madrid on Friday, at the same time that he took the opportunity to emphasise the message that vaccination is key to curbing the virus.
“This afternoon I received the third dose of # VacunaCOVID19 at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital. My thanks to all the health personnel who continue to take care of us and who make Spain a world example in vaccination. Vaccines and prudence are the best way to combat the virus” he said in a Tweet.
Despite criticism from the opposition for the lack of forceful measures to face the wave of infections as a result of the expansion of omicron, Sánchez has always defended Spain’s Vaccination Strategy as an essential element to combat the pandemic that has been raging for two years.
