Spain's Ministry of Health announces that first doses of Moderna vaccine have arrived

Spain’s Ministry of Health have announced that the first doses of the Moderna vaccine have arrived in Spain. 357 boxes each with 100 doses of the vaccine arrived at in Spain at around 8am this morning.

In total 37.500 vaccines have arrived and they are being transported to each of the Communities from where they will be distributed on Wednesday and Thursday.

Spain now has two different vaccines to fight off the Coronavirus pandemic and the country expects to receive 599.500 doses of the Moderna vaccine over the coming weeks. In the fourth week of January, Spain expects to receive 52.000 doses and in the first and third weeks of February, Spain’s Ministry of Health is expecting to receive 127.900 and 383.900 doses respectively.
