The association requests “measures to compel the Civil Guard to remove the flag from its social networks”
The Association of Christian Lawyers has filed a lawsuit for misrepresentation against the director general of the Civil Guard, María Gámez , for putting the LGTBI flag – represented by the colours of the rainbow – as a background image on the official logo of the force on Twitter, in support of the celebration of Gay Pride.

In a statement, the association explained that it is also requesting “measures to compel the institution to remove the flag from its social networks. ” As detailed in the complaint, “the placement of an ideological badge representing the LGTBI lobby” on the Civil Guard shield “violates the obligation of ideological neutrality of any public administration.”
In addition, according to Christian Lawyers, it also “violates article 18 of Organic Law 11/2017 that regulates the rights and duties of members of the Civil Guard.”
The complaint states that “by linking an ideology to the Civil Guard itself, it is violating not only the duty of neutrality of the Public Institution , but those of all its members, who without their consent and against the Law 11/2007, are being linked to an ideology, contrary to their duty of neutrality. “
