The number of hospitalisations and deaths has risen in Spain during the last 24 hours as the Spanish government considers moving to phase 2 of the lockdown.

According to the latest Spanish government statistics, the number of new hospitalisations increased to 193 (an increase of 27 on the previous day), the number of deaths in the country increased to 95 (an increase of 12 on the previous day). The number of people admitted into intensive care also increased by 20, from 11 to 31.

The official figures report that in total 232.555 have been infected and 27,888 people have died in Spain from Covid-19.
